Bangladesh cricket team will begin their long road towards attempting to reach home team’s massive first innings total of 448 for 6 declared as they continue their first innings on Day 3 of the 1st Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday (August 23). Bangladesh openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam ended the second day at 27 for no loss at stumps on Thursday.

On the second day, Pakistan batters Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel scored massive hundreds to help the home side recover from 16 for 3 in the first innings. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 171 off 239 balls with 3 sixes and 11 fours while Shakeel scored 141 off 261 balls with 9 boundaries and the duo put on 240 runs for the fifth wicket.

For Bangladesh, bowlers Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud picked up two wickets each for the visitors.
